From the NY Times:
Vince Morgan, claiming Representative Charles Rangel “was unresponsive to the district’s problems, like high unemployment,” has chosen to run against Rangel in his upcoming re-election bid.
Mr. Morgan is a former aide to Rangel and was his campaign director in 2002. Mr Rangel, who has been under ethics investigations for a year now, is “going to have to take responsibility,” said Morgan.
Even though Morgan may have some insight in regards to Representative Rangel’s current ethics problems, don’t expect him to reveal anything:
Mr. Morgan, who worked for Mr. Rangel from 2001 to 2003, expressed some misgivings about taking him on. “I loved him,” he said. “He is very affable and he is a warm person, which is why I am hesitant about bad-mouthing him.”
