From The Washington Times:

Once again, proving that Nancy Pelosi’s promise of the most honest, ethical and open Congress in history was just a lie, the House Democrats (led by Speaker Pelosi) unveiled their version of a Health Care Reform Bill to an invitation only crowd:

House Democrats blocked the public from attending the unveiling ceremony of their health-care bill Thursday morning, allowing only pre-approved visitors whose names appeared on lists to enter the event at the West side of the Capitol.

The audience at the crowded press conference included Hill staffers, union workers, health care providers and students, according to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who thanked them for attending.

The West side of the Capitol is typically open to the public and is the same location where President Obama was inaugurated.  But the area was fenced off by metal gates today, and Capitol police monitored the area while staffers checked the “guest list” for those listed as approved for attendance.

The new bill from the House, revealed today, is a total of 1990 pages long and includes a government-run plan, just as Pelosi had promised it would.
