From The Hill:

Pelosi will head a delegation including Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) and all the major players in House cap-and-trade debate, including House Energy and Commerce chairman Henry Waxman (D-Calif.), House Ways and Means chairman Charlie Rangel (D-N.Y.), Rep. Ed Markey (D-Calif.).

Under the guise of meeting to figure out how to create “clean energy jobs”  for our economy, and to show support for President Obama (and “cap and trade” legislation), a large contingent of both Democrats and Republicans are jetting off to Copenhagen for the climate summit.

Is their support in Copenhagen necessary?  Of course not!  But why not fly  off to Europe on the taxpayers’ dime to mingle with leaders of the world while leaving a huge unecessary carbon footprint?

The House of Representatives has already passed its version of “cap and trade” legislation in June.  Why spend more taxpayer money (which we don’t have) to make the flight, book the hotels, eat the expensive food (you don’t think their eating at McDonald’s do you?), make promises which they can’t necessarily keep, and rub elbows with other elitists who think they know better how to run your life?  Because it’s the congressional way silly, and there’s nothing you can do about…..for now.

Here’s the list of attendees (remember them the next time they run for re-election):
