A sampling of news stories related to illegal immigrant/immigration:

  • Due to the passing of S.B. 1070, Arizona’s anti-illegal immigration law, the Mexican Consul in Phoenix is readying for an “exodus from Arizona.”   The Mexican consulates serve Mexicans living abroad (both legally and illegally) including 700,000 to 750,000 in Arizona alone.
  • Authorities are worried about a potential health hazard after discovering an illegal immigrant who has chicken pox. The concern is that the illegal immigrant could have spread the airborne disease to other illegals he had been in contact with in a van before they were discovered.  Four illegals have previously been discovered with chicken pox causing the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office to quarantine 160 inmates.
  • Los Angeles has become the largest city to approve a boycott of Arizona due to Arizona’s passage of S.B. 1070.
