A sampling of news stories and commentary related to illegal immigrants and illegal immigration:

  • In his first major speech on immigration, President Obama placed blame for lack of action squarely on the Republicans shoulders.  While the President loves to bash Republicans at any opportunity that arises, it seems there may be resistance in his own party to any type of immigration reform.
  • Nine illegal immigrants, including two children ages 6 and 11, were rescued in the Arizona desert after their smugglers abandoned them.
  • The Salt Lake City Council has voted NOT to boycott Arizona over its new anti-illegal immigration law, SB-1070.
  • The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has issued travel warnings to Arizona claiming “racial profiling” could take place even before the state’s controversial new law takes effect.  Ridiculous, the claim of possible racial profiling can be claimed about ANY law.
