Jerry Brown Says “Teabaggers” are a Powerful Force in California

Posted on July 14, 2010

When California Governor’s candidate Jerry Brown appeared on Hardball, Chris Matthews asked Brown how he can get the powerful forces (such as unions) under control in the state and get them to “serve the public?”  Brown answers that it isn’t just the unions wielding significant power in the state, but other groups like the “teabaggers.”

The thing is, I can’t tell if Brown realizes the term “teabagger” is supposed to be an insult.  But, from the chuckle Matthews lets out, you know that he knows.
