Well today turned out to be the daily the federal judge who was asked to prevent SB-1070 from going into effect made her ruling.  Although she did not entirely strike down the law, she did temporarily restrain the major parts (the ones with “teeth”) from going into effect.  Theres’s been coverage all over the media today, so I’ll be linking to news stories and opinions.

Governor Jan Brewer has already announced plans to appeal the judge’s ruling.  But, as heated as the issue is, and no matter what the 9th circuit court decides, all analyses I’ve seen say this is bound for the Supreme Court which won’t be back in session until October.
