Southern Arizona reaching all-time record low temperatures, golf course “freezes”

So where did all the global warming go?

From KVOA:

A strong surge of arctic air continues to pile into the region. All-time record cold temperatures may be the case after Friday morning. Expect single digits and teens for overnight lows tonight across the region. Mt. Lemmon will dip below zero with wind chills well below zero.

Temperatures have gone so low here in the Sonoran Desert that the Phoenix Open Pro-Am was cancelled due to a “frozen golf course.”  Local news reported that a player commented that trying to hit a golf ball on the green was like “hitting a ball off cement.”
